WARRIORS-- Belly Smash?
I have a question about Belly Smash.
Description: If this attack strikes a foe who is "on the ground", the resulting dust cloud will Blind nearby foes for 3-9 seconds.
What does "on the ground" mean? Does it mean a knocked-down foe? Or simply an enemy that does not fly?
I have tried this skill on both knocked-down and foes with 2-4 legs on the ground but I don't really see any effect. I can see the dust cloud animation when I strike foes that AREN'T knocked-down, but as far as I can tell (and this is w/o any fancy scientific method of experimentation) I get hit just as often as I did before. Which leads me to believe that I am not blinding anything.
Is Belly Smash useful in PvE?

Considering there are no flying foes in Guildwars, I think the answer is obvious.

Umm yeah on a foe knocked down.
so counterblow => Bellysmash
It does work beautifuly in PvE, everyone will be blind and all melees/archers will start missing like mad, if your graphics are up high enough you'll notice little moving black dots in front of the creatures face, indicating it is indeend blind.
in pvp random arena's it works great on the noobs too =P

Actually, it is quite obvious that there are flying foes in Guild Wars, such as the Level 20 Storm Kins in the desert or their predecessors in every part of the map before that. Thanks for the sarcasm on a valid question.
And if the answer is so obvious, why doesn't the skill description say "if this attack hits a knoced-down foe they will be blinded" instead of vaguely saying "a foe on the ground?" All other hammer skills say "IF you strike a KD foe, THEN....."

There must be some sarcastic post quota you have to maintain to stay in iQ.
I think it's a great pve skill, but that's about it. The recharge on it isn't good enough to make it adequately annoying in pvp.

It sucks in PvP, there's not point in blinding monks. The only people worth blinding are rangers and warriors, and if you're attacking them you've probably already won.

Three per week, or you get the boot. No exceptions.
It's a good PVE skill if you can charge up your adrenaline quickly.
That said, when you knock down a "flying" enemy, do they fall down?

Storm Kin don't technically fly; since you're being so technical. Bashing people for sarcasm by means of being sarcastic yourself is no way to pose as a role model; I wouldn't like it if my idols were hypocrites.
You shouldn't despair too much that Belly Smash sucks in PvP, it's an all-around bad skill -I mean who uses Hammer Warriors to farm?

It isn't great, because most tanks would probably want to have a shield and tactics skills, but it gives the tank warrior an option of being a legitimate tank.
